What Are My Legal Options if Someone Else Was Driving My Car and Got Into an Accident?

Transcript:

If someone else is driving your car and gets into an accident, as long as that person had your consent to operate the vehicle, then insurance is kind of there the same as though you were driving the vehicle. That person expressly has to have your consent. If they were at fault for that collision, the claim would still be able to be made against the at fault driver. Your insurance company would cover a claim, but again, that issue of consent has to be kind of settled whereby anyone that’s operating your vehicle basically needs to have your express permission to do it.
