A drunk driving accident claim by and large is not a lot different than any other accident where there’s no allegation of impaired driving, right? So the concepts of negligence are still there. You would have the ability to make a claim against the impaired driver the same as you would for any other driver. The only real difference I suppose, is you may also be compelled to be a witness essentially in the impaired driver’s criminal matter if there is a criminal matter resulting. But if and when someone is involved in an accident with an impaired driver, all of your rights and options are the same insofar as bringing an injury claim forward.
